A renter-heavy, investor-driven market
More than half of Liverpool households rent: private renting reached 26.1 percent and social renting 26.4 percent at the 2021 Census, leaving owner occupation near 46.8 percent. Lower-than-average house prices keep buy-to-let landlords and investors active, which means a steady flow of refurbishment, void turnarounds, repairs and compliance work for the trades, alongside intense competition for every search.
