Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use madeforbuilders.com or work with us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it — including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. No fine print.

  1. Who we are

Made For Builders is a marketing and technology partner for home-service and construction businesses. For any privacy question, reach us through our contact page; full identifying details of the business are available on request through that same channel.

  2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to serve you:

    • Identifiers you give us in forms: name, email, phone number, company, and the message you write.
    • Professional information if you become a client: billing details and service communications.
    • Internet activity: aggregated, cookieless site analytics (see our cookie policy). We do not track you across other sites.
  3. How we use it

    We use personal information to:

    • Reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal.
    • Deliver and bill the services you hire us for.
    • Improve the site using aggregated metrics.
    • Send commercial communications only if you opt in. You can opt out at any time.
  4. We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We use no third-party advertising cookies. Service providers (such as Vercel for hosting and performance analytics) process data under contracts that restrict use to our instructions.

  5. How long we keep it

Inquiry data is kept while the conversation is active and at most one year after the last contact. Client data is kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. After that, it is deleted or anonymized.

  6. Your privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; see our dedicated CCPA notice for the full detail. We will never discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

    • Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
    • Request deletion of your personal information.
    • Correct inaccurate personal information.
    • Opt out of sale or sharing (not applicable: we do neither).
  7. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures proportional to the risk: TLS encryption in transit, role-based access, and vendors with recognized security certifications. No system is infallible; if a breach affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

  8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date on this page. Material changes will be communicated visibly. The version published here is always the current one.
